In an unusually swift response, the U.S. Supreme Court April 22 denied the National Association of Manufacturers a temporary injunction from the new lobbying and ethics law that would have allowed the trade group to keep their membership secret until the case is resolved. On Monday, NAM submitted the case to the Supreme Court to request relief from portions of the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007. The Court denied their request in less than 24 hours.
